The views expressed…ohhhh you know the drill.

Thanksgiving weekend, it’s a period of time where you’d not expect a wrestling show to be held too often. But GCW is having a show here tonight! And the holiday weekend didn’t depress attendance whatsoever, they enjoyed their highest attendance here ever at about 125…but being that gym wasn’t real big, it got quite cramped in there. As crowded as that place was, got an invite from the Hardcore Princess to sit in front with her...of course that's also where wrestlers crash into the rail, but hey, she's is a big time GCW fan. Tonight I also put into use a brand new HP M525 digital camera to replace my old one, an HP 215. The old one could only go up to 1.3 megapixels, but this one goes to 6, and does miles better with action shots. So I’m gonna snap away and see how good this thing works.

Live from the YMCA in Mt. Vernon, IL. Show started way late due to the flyers saying the start time was 8pm. Light show began the festivities. Your ring announcer is someone I can’t remember the name of. Your only referee tonight is Kevin Cannedy, who is getting nothing but heckling all evening. Poor guy.

GCW Tag Team Championship
(c)European Union – Pierre Abernathy & Evan Petrie vs. Bumrush Bros. – Shorty Biggs & Outkast – Well the story is the last time these teams faced off, the champs fled the building to keep the belts via countout. The EU sneak attack the Bumrushers then do some posing, and get attacked themselves and clotheslined out. When all settles down, Outkast & Evan start. Outkast works the arm, and snap mares Evan six times in a row! Evan ends up at the wrong corner and gets beaten up, Biggs in, drop toe hold, legdrop, dropkick, slam gets two. Outkast back in but gets raked, tag Pierre, PUNT gets two. Evan back in and locks in what looks to see the Rings of Saturn, but turns it loose and hits a clothesline for two. Pierre in, double clothesline gets two, crucifix suplex gets two. Pierre holds a chinlock but Outkast is up, dropkick from the second rope by Outkast and tags Biggs. He BOOTS Evan, butts Pierre out of the ring, and the champs attempt to leave. This time the Bums forcibly bring them back, but the EU dumps Outkast and hit an F5 on Biggs and cover for two with a foot on the ropes. Outkast has Evan with a spinning facebuster, Biggs with a legdrop from the top and they get the pin.

WINNERS and NEW CHAMPS: The Bumrush Bros. pin -> 10:40 mins. **½

A lot of kids are invited into the ring to celebrate with the Biggs & Outkast.

Bryan Monterro vs. Chaz Wesson – Basic wrestling to start, a tradeoff of hard chops, hip toss Chaz gets two. Chaz with a grazing dropkick for two. Chaz with an ab stretch, Bryan hip tosses him off and hits a suplex for two. Chaz small package gets two. They trade more chops, and Bryan’s chest is definitely marked up. Backdrop Chaz, they cress-cross the ropes and double clothesline each other. Bryan attempts a springboard but misses, Chaz chops him down, crossbody from the top gets the pin. Basic stuff.

WINNER: Chaz Wesson pin -> 7:30 mins. *¾

KC Karrington vs. Trent Stone – Tiffany is NOT here tonight. Ref checks KC who LOW BLOWS Trent on his blindside, KC with an elbow for two. KC with a choke and rope burn, trip and works the leg. Jawbreaker gets two. KC with a dropkick on the thigh gets two, splash in the corner, misses a third and gets side suplexed down. Trent with a ten punch in the corner and works the back. KC slaps the mat and everyone yells you tapped out…heh, but it wasn’t a tapout. Stone misses a side elbow, but Trent hits rib and back breakers, followed by a powerslam for two. He sets up for the spear…but misses! KC with a tornado DDT, goes up, MISSES the splash! Trent up, SPEAR, pin goodbye! Rather got a good picture of KC being carried out.

WINNER: Trent Stone pin -> 7:35 mins. ***¼

GCW Light Heavyweight Championship
(c)Jackal vs. Spoiled Steven Kennedy – Jackal has had the title for about ten months, but apparently he’s had no real feud over the belt oddly enough. The crowd is pretty violate right now. SSK has something to say, he wants everyone to shut up, he’s been here at GCW for two years and he’s here get belts, tonight the light heavyweight belt. Two guys in the crowd walk up to the rail waving their waist belts in a funny sight. Basic stuff to start, Jackal with a kick to the head, clothesline, kneedrop for two. Suplex attempt is blocked, SSK with a pair of underhook suplexes and a slam for two. Jackal hits a bulldog. SSK with a rake and dropkick to the back of the head for two. SSK wins a slugfest and chokes away, running suplex gets two. Jackal with a flying headscissors from the top and they tumble out, Jackal throws SSK into the sign, SSK rams Jackal in the rail. They brawl on the floor and Jackal poses as SSK seemingly has gone under the ring, but pops out from underneath and clobbers Jackal, hitting a slam for two. Jackal with an enzuigiri and leg scissor takedown. He climbs the ropes, SSK trips him up and ties him to the tree of woe and hits a baseball slide dropkick. BWO chant rings out in the crowd referring to the two guys in the front row dressed up as the Blue World Order. Jackal with a head kick, flying knee misses, SSK with a leg yank and locks in the sharpshooter! Jackal escapes, monkey flip gets two, he goes for the tornado unprettier but it’s blocked into atomic drop, SSK with a moonsault on a bent over Jackal and gets the pin! Pretty good match.

WINNER and NEW CHAMP: Spoiled Steven Kennedy pin -> 14:25 mins. ***¾

Jackal can’t believe it and is irate…but he then offers a handshake and SSK being a sore winner spits in his face. Jackal chases him to the back. We go to intermission…and it goes quite a long time.

Man vs. Woman
MsChif vs. Sean Vincent – Once again I kiddingly ask MsChif not to end up in my lap during the heat of battle. These two apparently had quite a feud years ago when MsChif was a full-time member of the roster. Crowd is ruckus for both wrestlers, though it’s a bit more for Vincent. Mat wrestling to start, Sean with a neckbreaker. MsChif with a kick and works the arm, body scissors, working it into a rear chinlock with a bridge, then goes to the leg. Sean with a backslide gets two. MsChif with a forearm, standing moonsault gets two. MsChif with a headbutt, chops, scares off the ref when he tries to break it up but gets rolled up for two. Vincent gives her a few chops but MsChif gives him snake eyes on the turnbuckle. MsChif lays the boots to him and locks in a stepover ab stretch…then a DDT for two. MsChif with a flying headscissors sends Sean to the floor, she chops him there and gives him a pitstop on one of the BWO guys! Vincent hurls MsChif dangerously close to where I’m sitting…it being so crowded I don’t have anywhere to go if she goes over the rail. Sean attempts to suplex her but gets crotched on the rail! Clothesline off the rail, MsChif with a battle cry but gets neck snapped on the way back in, Vincent with a moonsault back in gets two. Vincent pickup, MsChif ties him up with a headscissor into a small package for two. MsChif with a armbar, rope walk and hits a DDT for two. That should had been over! MsChif tries a form of a dragon sleeper, Sean’s up, suplex, northern lights, pulls her to the corner, split legged moonsault gets one. Sean yells game over, but MsChif rolls him up for two. MsChif dodges a kick, another rollup, it looked like Sean got the pin on MsChif and the ref missed her having the rope but no MsChif got the pin! Bad angle on my side to see what happened.

WINNER: MsChif pin -> 14 mins. ***½

Sean grabs MsChif and gives her a death valley driver…some people are booing him for being a poor sport. MsChif is mad and shoves the ref down letting out a shriek.

GCW Heavyweight Championship – TLC Match
(c)Dingo w/ Sadie Blaze & Sindy vs. Cameron Cage – Wow, it’s main event time already? Sadie Blaze says we’re looking at the greatest wrestler in the entire world, he’s better than anyone has ever been in GCW, and he hates every last one of the audience. Dingo stalls like mad, Cage slingshots him in, clothesline, and pounds him to the floor. Once again they’re dangerously close to me, as Cage pounds Dingo on the rail. They go back in, Dingo comes back with a slam, flying knee to the back of the neck as a get the tables chant rings out. Dingo goes for something, then flips off the crowd. Heh. Dingo with a knee to the head, kneedrop to the head, PUNT, splash and pounds Cage on the mat. Dingo hits an elbow and forgets it’s a ladder match going for the cover. Dingo fetches some chairs, and here comes the ladder! Cage throws the ladder back at Dingo, throws him in, and lands some stiff shots, Cage whips him but Dingo sidesteps him and knocks him down. Dingo fetches a table but Cage dropkicks it into his face! Cage with a suplex back in the ring, wedges a chair in the corner, Cage hurls Dingo into and chops him hard! Cage stomps Dingo out of the ring and chairshots him! Cage with an uppercut and chop in front of me, choke on the rail, Cage puts a ladder in, Dingo throws a chair at Cage, hard chairshots to the back! Dingo sets up the ladder…Cage shoulderblocks the ladder to knock him down! Cage puts the ladder on the face of Dingo and throws a chair at him! Cage with a powerslam, goes outside and fetches a table, but Dingo gets a shot in, uses his knee to drive his face in the mat. Sadie Blaze apparently has a chain in his hand. Cage with a drop toe hold into a table set up in the ring…looked nasty! The corner of it is definitely cracked, as Cage is biting Dingo on the floor! Dingo has a cut above the bridge of the nose, Cage with another chairshot! Dingo begs off, but trips Cage into the corner and repeatedly PUNTS him in the gut! Dingo sets a table up, puts Cage on it, moonsaults on him but rolls off Cage without breaking the table, so Cage with two LOW BLOWS on Dingo, puts it up in the corner and SPEARS him through the table! Cage goes outside for the ladder, Dingo finally comes out of the twisted pile of metal and wood as Cage climbs the ladder and gets up there with him…they slug it out up there, knocks Cage down and hits a legdrop from the ladder! Dingo with a pickup, tieup in the corner, puts a chair in this face, and rams the ladder into his face! Dingo thinks about climbing the ladder but goes for another table instead. Dingo puts the table in the corner, but Cage throws Dingo into the ladder. Cage slams Dingo into the sign, BOOT, they’re back in front of us again and Cage with a chairshot! Choke on the rail, Dingo with return strike, Cage in the corner in front of us, Dingo BOOTS a chair and sends it into the crowd! YIKES! That was close! Narrowly missed a kid. Dingo says it’s over, but doesn’t go for the belt, he messed with a table instead but Cage gets back in and throws a chair into his back. Well past 20 minutes here. Cage nails Dingo in the back and pulls the table in place, they fight it out on the floor some more…Dingo pulls Cage around the ring post, and Sadie Blaze has HANDCUFFS! Cage is cuffed to the post and Dingo beats him down with a chair. Dingo starts climbing the ladder, has his hand on the belt, then the LIGHTS GO OUT! When the lights come on, Cage somehow gets free and powerbombs Dingo through the table and grabs the belt! Sadie Blaze is cuffed to the post! How’d that happen? He have a key in his boot or something? Wow. Wild match.

WINNER and NEW CHAMP: Cameron Cage KO -> 27 mins. ****

The Verdict: Sadly, news came out following this show that this may have been the final GCW event due to a number of issues, all involving funds and sponsors of which Missouri has been nothing but trouble for the organization as they have only had one Illinois venue to escape MoDPR’s bureaucracy. Ugh. I’ve suggested ways for GCW to earn some cash with their tape library, but haven’t seen any action yet, we shall see. Decent show overall to finish the year with an unexpected three title changes. I hope this wasn’t the last time cause GCW has been generating new independent stars that are pretty well known now, and frankly St. Louis is hurting for good wrestling these days. Besides, the Hardcore Princess won't settle for anything other than GCW!
