Next Generation Wrestling's End Game
12/30/2K6 Bellevue, IL
One of the only wrestling shows to be held on this day!
This is generally the time of year where most wrestling promotions are not running shows, the last couple weeks of December no one's running shows. Last year the only offering in the downstate Illinois/Missouri area was Half Pint Brawlers. This year, NGW gave it a go and scheduled its major show on the final Saturday of 2006. With no competing shows about, it would be interesting to see how big the draw was to the Bellevue Plaza Gym. Heck they even ran ads on WWE RAW and TNA Impact on cable. Well at showtime I counted about 150, though paid attendance pushed it up to 170-180. In fact they did run out of chairs, and the bleacher seats they should had pulled them completely out instead of leaving the top two rows in cause heh, they carried down what looked like a church pew from upstairs. All in all though, the draw is considered very good for NGW. Show starts rather late, 7:20pm or so.

NGW Triple Threat Championship
(c)Catalyst Cory Carter vs. Blake Steel vs. Black Dragon - The crowd still yells "sucks" every time the name TripC is uttered. Blake and Dragon go after TripC, he breaks free of them and pounds both, but he gets hit with a double elbow and he flees. Shoulderblock by Dragon, TripC takes a seat in front of me, moving a kid which scared him to tears. Geez. The crowd gets on him for it, shouderblock by Steel nearly gets the pin. TripC back in with an uppercut, Dragon with a snap mare on TripC gets one. Blake with a slam, elbow on Dragon. Big chop TripC on Blake, whip to the corner and hard clothesline! Clothesline on Dragon, he rams their heads together, but they get elbow shots on TripC. Blake with a boot, charges but gets thrown over the top by TripC! Dragon manages to gets a sitout slam on TripC, goes up but gets the knees. Blake goes up and hits a crossbody however for two. TripC dumps Blake out, FLATLINER on Dragon and gets the pin. Squash.

NGW Tag Team Championship - Tables Match
(c)The Dreamboats - Stumpy & Dennis Devine vs. Geek Council - Dewey Dawson & Gilbert Lewis w/ Omega Mu - The geeks come out and they are jumped instantly by the Dreamboats! Poor Mu got run over in the process. Dewey on the apron and hits a suicide dive on the boats, Gilbert jumps up there and does another one! Gilbert splashes Stumpy against the post! Well I'm near needing to run away as they get back in the ring. Double whip, double hip toss on Devine. Double whip and Stumpy pulls Dennis out. Gilbert dives on them and they're into the crowd! The slugfest goes in front of me, Gilbert grabs a soda and smacks Stumpy in the head with it! Slam on the floor! Someone's head gets rammed on the title belt sitting on the commentary table! Table gets fetched from under the ring. Gilbert gets splashed in the corner. Suplex attempt is reversed, as some kids are running away, Stumpy is put on a table by Dawson, Devine throws Lewis in the corner, Dewey gets caught and put in the ring, aborting a chance to end it quick. Chair is fetched, Gilbert in the corner, Stumpy tries to open the chair up, Dewey intercepts but gets caught, Devine is thrown into the wall by Gilbert! Stumpy puts a sleeper on Dawson, actually tries to piggyback on him but Dewey gives him a seat, flattening the chair. I have no idea what Stumpy was trying there but it didn't work. Dewey just stomps Stumpy, Devine is thrown into the post, Lewis gets back in the ring, legdrop on Stumpy on the table, hurting himself. Dewey legdrops Devine with a chair on his face. Gilbert gets ANOTHER soda, and nails Stumpy with it! Thankfully it was empty. Lewis puts his own hat back on, Dewey SLAMS Stumpy in the ring, and he runs away. Stumpy is leaving the arena? Gilbert sets a table up. Stumpy is fighting with a fan! What the heck? Where's security? Apparently the fan started it I'm told. Another drinkshot is delivered by Gilbert on Devine. Table is set up on the outside again, I'm taking refuge in the bleachers. Devine hits a clotheslines on Dewey, Stumpy gets clobbered by Gilbert. Devine goes up, he's caught, Dewey tries to drop Devine on the table but gets headscissored to the floor. All four brawl on the floor as a Liberace chant rings out. Devine clothesline, bulldog out of the corner. Dewey pulls out a rather large table, it's pretty wide...Devine throws Omega Mu in the ring! That gal just stands there and Devine kicks her in the head! Gilbert enraged dives on Devine beating the crap outta him! Dewey takes her to the back and returns to continue the match. Gilbert and Devine continue slugging it out, Devine suplex blocked, Dewey with a powerbomb on Devine! That big table, rather strange looking, is set up, heck it used to the merchandise table! Devine gets kicked to the floor, Dewey suplex attempt blocked, hooks a fisherman's suplex, clipped the ref and drives him in the table...didn't break! The ref is out, Dewey goes up and splashes Devine, it STILL doesn't break! Gilbert and Stumpy fight to the wall, Stumpy splashes Gilbert. Dewey sets the table up again, here comes Stumpy, Dewey slams Stumpy on the table, it STILL didn't break! The legs are broken though! Someone wake that ref up. They try again to break it...it STILL won't break! Gee use the other table! Stumpy sets the thing in the corner, Dewey whips him into it and it FINALLY breaks! The geeks don't wake the ref, thinking they won the match, they get the belts but Stumpy attacks the geeks, HARD CHAIRSHOTS on the geeks! Ref Robbie McCaine is out from the back, but doesn't take charge and stop the match. Stumpy put one of the geeks in the table wreckage and pulls Devine out, gets the long slumbering ref up and he calls it. Bleh. Blown finish and nonsense, the ref stayed asleep a lot longer than normal, plus the other ref came out from the back doing nothing making this look bad. The problem with the table was that it was two large slabs of plywood glued together, making it harder to break. The incident with the fan, keep that in mind for later.

Pure Wrestling Challenge
Kyle Rich vs. Jester - Rules for the match are as follows, only three rope breaks are allowed per wrestler. Punches to the head are illegal, one break is taken away after the second offense, DQ if you're outta breaks. It's a 20 count outside the ring also. Jester scoffs at the whole concept of the match, he's the longest reigning champion in NGW ever, he's spent 45 minutes beating up three men to win the title. He says Kyle Rich cannot win the big one. Geez, what about all the other belts he's won? Only time Kyle's won anything close to a big one, it was with Big Pappa. Lame. Kyle locks on an armbar, and Jester uses a rope break off the bat. 3-2. Armbar Kyle, kicks Jester off, side headlocks, takedown, Jester rollup gets two. Good ole mat wrestling, armdrags traded, Jester headscissors, DDT, and sharpshooter! Kyle opts to save himself a rope break by pulling himself outside using the ring edge. Kyle back in and Jester slugs away at him drawing a warning, then does it again and loses a rope break. 3-1. Jester with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker gets two. Jester torques the arm up, Kyle then has to use the ropes. 2-1. Juvy driver by Jester gets ONE. Russian legsweep by Kyle, tie up gets two. Kyle with a kick to the back, scissors kick, crippler crossface on Jester! Jester gives up his last rope break and it's 2-0. Jester really didn't manage his breaks very well. Jester with a stun gun, sideslam and goes to a facelock. Kyle is up, Jester whip, low kick gets two. Jester with the UNPRETTIER gets two! Kyle with a clothesline in the corner, goes up, missile dropkick gets two! Forearmfest, uppercut by Rich gets two. Kyle with the Ego Trip, crossface...and Jester taps out! Quite a good wrestling clinic there.

Well we're up to the survivor series match. And three of the entries in the match are unknown. Apparently they weren't allowed to select their mystery partners, because Powers & the Mob are not happy with being partnered with Morton Von Prose! Cherry, Pappa, and Justice seem happy with Hez & Des Mex however! Devore is screaming at me to get a picture of pNut in her pink outfit, and yes it's quite lovely.
10-Man Survivor Series Match
Josh Powers, Axis, Brett Gakiya, CJ Esparza, Morton Von Prose vs. Cherry Malone, Big Pappa, Johnny Justice, Ray Hez & Desperado Mexicanno - Josh Powers gets very ridiculed for his outfit, and of course he has to jaw with me about sticking up for Cherry. Homo Ranger chant rings out against him. The mob is still respected despite the heelism. MVP tries to buddy up with Josh by waving the Josh Powers Rules sign, but he doesn't go for it. Cherry's gonna be quite limited on what she can do having a injured foot. But Josh Powers wants to start the match against Cherry instead of Pappa. Well Josh tags MVP in the face. MVP yanks Josh back in, Cherry and MVP double elbow, Cherry slam and suplex, tags Pappa. MVP and Pappa clothesline Josh and throw him out. Tag Cherry, MVP lays down after Cherry blows him a kiss, she does a seductive act on him for the pin.
Morton Von Prose has left the house, Cherry pins MVP at 2:15 mins.
Axis jumps in and clotheslines Cherry down! Cherry tags in Des Mex, and Brett tags in. Brett with an armbar, armdrags traded, monkey flips. No dice, tags Axis and Justice. Axis armbar, Justice headlock, Des Mex in and gets a flying headscissors. Tag Ray and CJ, Hez teases a move but pokes him in the eyes for two. CJ with a hair yank, forearm shots, the whole mob in, karate kicks on Hez, CJ with a one foot cover gets two. Hez slaps him on the head, reverse suplex, and everyone slips out to the floor to brawl. Moonsault by Powers on the pile, eight guys on the floor fighting it out while Cherry and pNut watches, Brett does a fakeout dive but Des Mex dropkicks him down, Des Mex dives on CJ, Brett dives on the pile, Justice goes up and dives on the pile, CJ goes up and hits a 630 on the pile! Justice and Powers back in the ring slugging it out, Hez posts Brett and Axis, Justice gets two. Powers reverse neckbreaker on Justice gets the pin.
Johnny Justice has been voted off the island, Powers pins Justice at 11:10 mins.
Cherry gets in, but Josh trips her up and locks in the figure four on the bad foot! Hez jumps in and turns it over, but he makes the rope. Tag Pappa, flapjack on Powers, Axis with a LOW BLOW on Pappa! Powers charges but gets caught in the Black Hole Slam for the pin.
Josh Powers, you ARE the weakest link! Goodbye! Pappa pins Powers at 13:00 mins.
Cherry gloats at him. It’s the mob against four, Des Mex tags in as Pappa is thrown to the corner. Mex with a sunset and dropkick on Brett, save Axis. Brett kicks Mex in the face, shoulderblock, sunset flip into the ropes, Mex with a dropkick to the back of the head gets one. Mex suplex on Brett gets two. Tag Hez, suplex gets two. Hez with a spinning piledriver on Brett gets two! pNut pulls Axis off the apron and they argue. Mex with a headlock, shootoff, Brett with a flying headscissors takes Mex down. CJ tags in, reverse hurraconranna, Brett with a dropkick, cover gets two. Zero G with a double snap mare, kick and crossbody gets two. Chants for the Desperado. CJ gets caught trying a headscissors and nearly gets pinned, whip and clothesline by Mex for two. Hez with a eyepoke, knee face. Tag Axis, dropkick on Mex, piggybiggy senton on Hez for two. Surfboard stomp by Axis on Hez for two. 20 minutes. Wheelbarrow and legdrop doubleteam on Hez gets two, Mex saves. Brett gets caught, FLATLINER from HECK by Hez that nearly snaps his neck! Mex he goes up, suplex and spear doubleteam on Brett, Hez with a wheelbarrow and clothesline doubleteam and Brett’s gone!
Brett Gakiya has been executed! Ray Hez pins Brett Gakiya at 21:45 mins.
Esparza in, he gets caught in the SAME move and he’s gone!
CJ Esparza, you ARE the weakest link! Goodbye! Ray Hez pins Esparza at 22:05 mins.
Axis is not wanting to face four men alone, but he gets surrounded and Pappa chops away on him! Whip and clothesline by Pappa! Splash misses, Axis dropkick and cover, Hez drops an elbow from the top but hits Pappa, Des Mex hits Pappa as well, Axis then gets the pin on the double misfire!
Big Pappa has been voted off the island. Axis pins Big Pappa at 23:55 mins.
Hmmmm…I see where this is going now. Axis hits a BIG BOOT on Hez! The “A-Bomb” is done to Hez and that gets the pin!
Ray Hez has been terminated! Axis pins Hez at 24:50 mins.
Des Mex in, LOW BLOW by Axis, sunset flip and that pins Des Mex!
Desperado Mexicanno has been voted off the island! Axis pins Des Mex at 25:15 mins.
And Cherry now has to finish the match, bad wheel and all! Not good! Axis with a kick, slam, then lines up to do something but pNut grabs his leg, Cherry rolls up Axis and gets the pin! Wow. Quite a good match all the way through.

(c)”Unbelievable” Andy Roberts vs. “Average” Joe Leonard – Andy is definitely not a popular guy. The crowd goes mad however over Joe! I have to pose the question, isn’t the PC title defended under a stipulation every time? It’s been a while since that’s been done. Joe would be the former ring attendant, now ready to wrestle. Andy with a slap, Joe shoves him and hits a dropkick that sends him outside. Andy with a knee, facebreaker, clothesline, kneedrop for two. Andy fires kneeshots in the corner, charges but rams his knee into the turnbuckle. Ouch. Rollup gets two. Joe with a chop, but goes down from another kneeshot and DDT for two. Andy with a choke, chops, another knee to the gut, rolling suplexes with the fisherman get two. Joe slugs Andy and locks in a cloverleaf but Andy gets the rope. They trade pincovers until Andy hits a fishermans buster for two. Russian legsweep into a gut buster by Joe gets two. Andy with a shove, superkick and that gets the pin. Crowd is very unhappy. Match had intense heat.

Weapon on a Pole – Coal Miner’s Glove
Apocalypse vs. “Sinnister” Raul Montenegro – Hmmmm…this isn’t gonna be pretty at all. That glove’s got glass, wire, and tacks embedded in it. Montenegro during the prior show has been looking like Wile E. Coyote getting clobbered every time he attacked Apoc. Well Apoc comes out first and Raul attacks from behind. He hits Apoc with the cane, they go into the bleachers then Apoc gets shoved into the post! Where are they going? Kneelifts by Raul, he pounds him on the side of the head. Toss into the post, Montenegro tries to whip Apoc into the wall but gets thrown into it himself! He’s put in the ring, but neck snaps Apoc! Sinnister goes for the glove, but Apoc intercepts and gets pushed down, Apoc backdrops Sinnister, spinebuster, and he goes for the glove! He’s got the glove but gets LOW BLOWED! Montenegro dons the glove but he gets LOW BLOWED! Apoc has the glove and rakes Sinnister with it! He gets kicked in the corner, clothesline. Apoc misses a charge and Sinnister takes the glove! 10 punch in the corner and now both men are bloody. Headbutt by Sinnister and he grinds the glove in Apoc’s head! Gross! Snap mare and punt, senton gets two. And the torture session continues…Apoc boots Raul then spikes him in the arm with the glove! This is too gory. Apoc with the F-U gets two, chokeslam follows and that gets three.
WINNER: Apocalypse pin -> 13:20 mins. *¾
Bloody brawl and more drama than wrestling. Someone emerges from the back rolling out a coffin. Apoc throws the glove at the commentary table, has the coffin opened, someone yells light it on fire! Apoc tries to put Raul in, but he tries to fight him off, Apoc posts Montenegro, shot to the head, he picks him up and dumps him in the coffin and closes it. Apoc kneels down to meditate. Who the heck is this druid? They roll the thing out, and it appears the show is now over as people are making their way to the exit…but TripC, Andy Roberts and Ryan Phoenix come out! TripC says the show begins and ends with the trifecta, we’re all champions here, the real main event is Ryan Phoenix against anyone who has the guts to face him from the back. Joe Leonard comes out first, then Blake Steel come out. TripC scoffs at them not being enough of a challenge, so Kyle Rich comes out! And the crowd goes wild!
NGW Heavyweight Championship
(c)Ryan Phoenix vs. Kyle Rich – Surprise main event. Ryan stalls away to start for a good couple minutes and they finally lockup. Kyle with an armdrag, they test strength but Rich takes him down with an armbar for one. Kyle ties him up and bounces Ryan’s head on the mat, then locks in the camel clutch. Ryan gets out and has an anklelock, Kyle reverses and hits a hard dropkick! Ryan bails to the floor, and a fan jumps up and LUNGES AT HIM! The heck? It’s the buddy of that guy that picked a fight with Stumpy earlier! They tie up as Bobby Lee and Doug Devore along with the referee run down to pull them apart, then forcibly remove him from the building! Geez, what the heck spurred that incident? Well the entire roster in the back bumrush their car yelling at them for their dumbassery. It’s a memorable moment. Ryan gets back in, Kyle makes a respectable gesture and they are ready to continue the match. Crowd is stunned by it all. Risk taken when there’s no rails around the ring. DVD into the knee by Ryan gets two. High knee by Ryan gets two. Neckbreaker by Ryan as Bobby Lee comes back in to a round of applause. Kyle with a scissors kick for two. Hard chops traded, forearm shots, but Ryan with a rake, shortarm clothesline by Kyle gets two! Rich whips Ryan into the corner and hits a clothesline. Kyle with a tornado DDT gets two! Slugfest, uppercuts and clothesline by Kyle! Phoenix goes out, Rich with a suicide dive sends Phoenix into the bleachers! Rich chops him, toss in gets two. Ryan with a PUNT, enzuigiri gets two! Ryan with a fisherman’s side suplex gets two! Rich kick, pickup blocked, crossbody is caught, death valley driver variation, and locks in the crossface! And Jester’s here…he nearly goes in the ring and Rich releases the hold to confront him. Small package Rich, Ryan reverses it…Robbie the ref with a fast count and it’s over! What’s up with that? Good match otherwise.
WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Ryan Phoenix pin -> 16 mins. ****¼
TripC celebrates the successful defense as the crowd applauds Kyle Rich’s efforts. And the show is over with.
The Verdict: Fan drama aside, overall quite a good show with a hot crowd. We’ll see where they go from here in 2007. They’re gonna have to take another look at seating setups if there’s another 200 level crowd though.

Blown finish and nonsense, the ref stayed asleep a lot longer than normal, plus the other ref came out from the back doing nothing making this look bad. The problem with the table was that it was two large slabs of plywood glued together, making it harder to break. The incident with the fan, keep that in mind for later.

Pure Wrestling Challenge
Kyle Rich vs. Jester - Rules for the match are as follows, only three rope breaks are allowed per wrestler. Punches to the head are illegal, one break is taken away after the second offense, DQ if you're outta breaks. It's a 20 count outside the ring also. Jester scoffs at the whole concept of the match, he's the longest reigning champion in NGW ever, he's spent 45 minutes beating up three men to win the title. He says Kyle Rich cannot win the big one. Geez, what about all the other belts he's won? Only time Kyle's won anything close to a big one, it was with Big Pappa. Lame. Kyle locks on an armbar, and Jester uses a rope break off the bat. 3-2. Armbar Kyle, kicks Jester off, side headlocks, takedown, Jester rollup gets two. Good ole mat wrestling, armdrags traded, Jester headscissors, DDT, and sharpshooter! Kyle opts to save himself a rope break by pulling himself outside using the ring edge. Kyle back in and Jester slugs away at him drawing a warning, then does it again and loses a rope break. 3-1. Jester with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker gets two. Jester torques the arm up, Kyle then has to use the ropes. 2-1. Juvy driver by Jester gets ONE. Russian legsweep by Kyle, tie up gets two. Kyle with a kick to the back, scissors kick, crippler crossface on Jester! Jester gives up his last rope break and it's 2-0. Jester really didn't manage his breaks very well. Jester with a stun gun, sideslam and goes to a facelock. Kyle is up, Jester whip, low kick gets two. Jester with the UNPRETTIER gets two! Kyle with a clothesline in the corner, goes up, missile dropkick gets two! Forearmfest, uppercut by Rich gets two. Kyle with the Ego Trip, crossface...and Jester taps out! Quite a good wrestling clinic there.

Well we're up to the survivor series match. And three of the entries in the match are unknown. Apparently they weren't allowed to select their mystery partners, because Powers & the Mob are not happy with being partnered with Morton Von Prose! Cherry, Pappa, and Justice seem happy with Hez & Des Mex however! Devore is screaming at me to get a picture of pNut in her pink outfit, and yes it's quite lovely.
10-Man Survivor Series Match
Josh Powers, Axis, Brett Gakiya, CJ Esparza, Morton Von Prose vs. Cherry Malone, Big Pappa, Johnny Justice, Ray Hez & Desperado Mexicanno - Josh Powers gets very ridiculed for his outfit, and of course he has to jaw with me about sticking up for Cherry. Homo Ranger chant rings out against him. The mob is still respected despite the heelism. MVP tries to buddy up with Josh by waving the Josh Powers Rules sign, but he doesn't go for it. Cherry's gonna be quite limited on what she can do having a injured foot. But Josh Powers wants to start the match against Cherry instead of Pappa. Well Josh tags MVP in the face. MVP yanks Josh back in, Cherry and MVP double elbow, Cherry slam and suplex, tags Pappa. MVP and Pappa clothesline Josh and throw him out. Tag Cherry, MVP lays down after Cherry blows him a kiss, she does a seductive act on him for the pin.
Morton Von Prose has left the house, Cherry pins MVP at 2:15 mins.
Axis jumps in and clotheslines Cherry down! Cherry tags in Des Mex, and Brett tags in. Brett with an armbar, armdrags traded, monkey flips. No dice, tags Axis and Justice. Axis armbar, Justice headlock, Des Mex in and gets a flying headscissors. Tag Ray and CJ, Hez teases a move but pokes him in the eyes for two. CJ with a hair yank, forearm shots, the whole mob in, karate kicks on Hez, CJ with a one foot cover gets two. Hez slaps him on the head, reverse suplex, and everyone slips out to the floor to brawl. Moonsault by Powers on the pile, eight guys on the floor fighting it out while Cherry and pNut watches, Brett does a fakeout dive but Des Mex dropkicks him down, Des Mex dives on CJ, Brett dives on the pile, Justice goes up and dives on the pile, CJ goes up and hits a 630 on the pile! Justice and Powers back in the ring slugging it out, Hez posts Brett and Axis, Justice gets two. Powers reverse neckbreaker on Justice gets the pin.
Johnny Justice has been voted off the island, Powers pins Justice at 11:10 mins.
Cherry gets in, but Josh trips her up and locks in the figure four on the bad foot! Hez jumps in and turns it over, but he makes the rope. Tag Pappa, flapjack on Powers, Axis with a LOW BLOW on Pappa! Powers charges but gets caught in the Black Hole Slam for the pin.
Josh Powers, you ARE the weakest link! Goodbye! Pappa pins Powers at 13:00 mins.
Cherry gloats at him. It’s the mob against four, Des Mex tags in as Pappa is thrown to the corner. Mex with a sunset and dropkick on Brett, save Axis. Brett kicks Mex in the face, shoulderblock, sunset flip into the ropes, Mex with a dropkick to the back of the head gets one. Mex suplex on Brett gets two. Tag Hez, suplex gets two. Hez with a spinning piledriver on Brett gets two! pNut pulls Axis off the apron and they argue. Mex with a headlock, shootoff, Brett with a flying headscissors takes Mex down. CJ tags in, reverse hurraconranna, Brett with a dropkick, cover gets two. Zero G with a double snap mare, kick and crossbody gets two. Chants for the Desperado. CJ gets caught trying a headscissors and nearly gets pinned, whip and clothesline by Mex for two. Hez with a eyepoke, knee face. Tag Axis, dropkick on Mex, piggybiggy senton on Hez for two. Surfboard stomp by Axis on Hez for two. 20 minutes. Wheelbarrow and legdrop doubleteam on Hez gets two, Mex saves. Brett gets caught, FLATLINER from HECK by Hez that nearly snaps his neck! Mex he goes up, suplex and spear doubleteam on Brett, Hez with a wheelbarrow and clothesline doubleteam and Brett’s gone!
Brett Gakiya has been executed! Ray Hez pins Brett Gakiya at 21:45 mins.
Esparza in, he gets caught in the SAME move and he’s gone!
CJ Esparza, you ARE the weakest link! Goodbye! Ray Hez pins Esparza at 22:05 mins.
Axis is not wanting to face four men alone, but he gets surrounded and Pappa chops away on him! Whip and clothesline by Pappa! Splash misses, Axis dropkick and cover, Hez drops an elbow from the top but hits Pappa, Des Mex hits Pappa as well, Axis then gets the pin on the double misfire!
Big Pappa has been voted off the island. Axis pins Big Pappa at 23:55 mins.
Hmmmm…I see where this is going now. Axis hits a BIG BOOT on Hez! The “A-Bomb” is done to Hez and that gets the pin!
Ray Hez has been terminated! Axis pins Hez at 24:50 mins.
Des Mex in, LOW BLOW by Axis, sunset flip and that pins Des Mex!
Desperado Mexicanno has been voted off the island! Axis pins Des Mex at 25:15 mins.
And Cherry now has to finish the match, bad wheel and all! Not good! Axis with a kick, slam, then lines up to do something but pNut grabs his leg, Cherry rolls up Axis and gets the pin! Wow. Quite a good match all the way through.

(c)”Unbelievable” Andy Roberts vs. “Average” Joe Leonard – Andy is definitely not a popular guy. The crowd goes mad however over Joe! I have to pose the question, isn’t the PC title defended under a stipulation every time? It’s been a while since that’s been done. Joe would be the former ring attendant, now ready to wrestle. Andy with a slap, Joe shoves him and hits a dropkick that sends him outside. Andy with a knee, facebreaker, clothesline, kneedrop for two. Andy fires kneeshots in the corner, charges but rams his knee into the turnbuckle. Ouch. Rollup gets two. Joe with a chop, but goes down from another kneeshot and DDT for two. Andy with a choke, chops, another knee to the gut, rolling suplexes with the fisherman get two. Joe slugs Andy and locks in a cloverleaf but Andy gets the rope. They trade pincovers until Andy hits a fishermans buster for two. Russian legsweep into a gut buster by Joe gets two. Andy with a shove, superkick and that gets the pin. Crowd is very unhappy. Match had intense heat.

Weapon on a Pole – Coal Miner’s Glove
Apocalypse vs. “Sinnister” Raul Montenegro – Hmmmm…this isn’t gonna be pretty at all. That glove’s got glass, wire, and tacks embedded in it. Montenegro during the prior show has been looking like Wile E. Coyote getting clobbered every time he attacked Apoc. Well Apoc comes out first and Raul attacks from behind. He hits Apoc with the cane, they go into the bleachers then Apoc gets shoved into the post! Where are they going? Kneelifts by Raul, he pounds him on the side of the head. Toss into the post, Montenegro tries to whip Apoc into the wall but gets thrown into it himself! He’s put in the ring, but neck snaps Apoc! Sinnister goes for the glove, but Apoc intercepts and gets pushed down, Apoc backdrops Sinnister, spinebuster, and he goes for the glove! He’s got the glove but gets LOW BLOWED! Montenegro dons the glove but he gets LOW BLOWED! Apoc has the glove and rakes Sinnister with it! He gets kicked in the corner, clothesline. Apoc misses a charge and Sinnister takes the glove! 10 punch in the corner and now both men are bloody. Headbutt by Sinnister and he grinds the glove in Apoc’s head! Gross! Snap mare and punt, senton gets two. And the torture session continues…Apoc boots Raul then spikes him in the arm with the glove! This is too gory. Apoc with the F-U gets two, chokeslam follows and that gets three.

Bloody brawl and more drama than wrestling. Someone emerges from the back rolling out a coffin. Apoc throws the glove at the commentary table, has the coffin opened, someone yells light it on fire! Apoc tries to put Raul in, but he tries to fight him off, Apoc posts Montenegro, shot to the head, he picks him up and dumps him in the coffin and closes it. Apoc kneels down to meditate. Who the heck is this druid? They roll the thing out, and it appears the show is now over as people are making their way to the exit…but TripC, Andy Roberts and Ryan Phoenix come out! TripC says the show begins and ends with the trifecta, we’re all champions here, the real main event is Ryan Phoenix against anyone who has the guts to face him from the back. Joe Leonard comes out first, then Blake Steel come out. TripC scoffs at them not being enough of a challenge, so Kyle Rich comes out! And the crowd goes wild!
NGW Heavyweight Championship
(c)Ryan Phoenix vs. Kyle Rich – Surprise main event. Ryan stalls away to start for a good couple minutes and they finally lockup. Kyle with an armdrag, they test strength but Rich takes him down with an armbar for one. Kyle ties him up and bounces Ryan’s head on the mat, then locks in the camel clutch. Ryan gets out and has an anklelock, Kyle reverses and hits a hard dropkick! Ryan bails to the floor, and a fan jumps up and LUNGES AT HIM! The heck? It’s the buddy of that guy that picked a fight with Stumpy earlier! They tie up as Bobby Lee and Doug Devore along with the referee run down to pull them apart, then forcibly remove him from the building! Geez, what the heck spurred that incident? Well the entire roster in the back bumrush their car yelling at them for their dumbassery. It’s a memorable moment. Ryan gets back in, Kyle makes a respectable gesture and they are ready to continue the match. Crowd is stunned by it all. Risk taken when there’s no rails around the ring. DVD into the knee by Ryan gets two. High knee by Ryan gets two. Neckbreaker by Ryan as Bobby Lee comes back in to a round of applause. Kyle with a scissors kick for two. Hard chops traded, forearm shots, but Ryan with a rake, shortarm clothesline by Kyle gets two! Rich whips Ryan into the corner and hits a clothesline. Kyle with a tornado DDT gets two! Slugfest, uppercuts and clothesline by Kyle! Phoenix goes out, Rich with a suicide dive sends Phoenix into the bleachers! Rich chops him, toss in gets two. Ryan with a PUNT, enzuigiri gets two! Ryan with a fisherman’s side suplex gets two! Rich kick, pickup blocked, crossbody is caught, death valley driver variation, and locks in the crossface! And Jester’s here…he nearly goes in the ring and Rich releases the hold to confront him. Small package Rich, Ryan reverses it…Robbie the ref with a fast count and it’s over! What’s up with that? Good match otherwise.

TripC celebrates the successful defense as the crowd applauds Kyle Rich’s efforts. And the show is over with.
The Verdict: Fan drama aside, overall quite a good show with a hot crowd. We’ll see where they go from here in 2007. They’re gonna have to take another look at seating setups if there’s another 200 level crowd though.
