I once again filmed the show, so I shall be parceling out matches from the event for the St. Louis Wrestling Community Matches of the Week. It shouldn’t take as long to put them up as I called the action as I filmed.

Live from the Bellevue Plaza. Your ring announcer is Bobby Lee, who’s voice is a lot better this week than two weeks ago. Your commentary team is Scooter and Doug Devore. They talk about the Luck of the Draw supercard with the royal rumble as the main event.

Triple Tag Threat
NGW Tag Champs The Dreamboats - Stumpy & Dennis Devine vs. The Geek Council – Dewey Dawson & Gilbert Lewis vs. Ray Hez & Desperado Mexicanno – Well the Dreamboats are the official tag champs, but the Faces of Fear stole the title belts from them following a tag tornado match that ended in a double pin. The Faces of Fear never wrestled the Dreamboats for the belts. Missing from Ray & Des Mex’s corner is pNut…who’s just a spectator tonight. Poor girl. Lewis & Hez start, and they start dancing which Devine tries to join in but gets tossed out, Stumpy gets hip tossed away, Devine runs thru though and out, Des Mex with a suicide dive on all the bodies outside. Dewey in, Des Mex headscissors Dewey, then armdrags everyone in the match, including his own partner and tries to pin him. All six fight it out, Dewey misses the charge, Stumpy sit out slam, Lewis boots him out, Devine with a facebuster, Hez with a body tackle, frogsplash by Des Mex and that gets the pin. I was wanting more out of everyone being this ended so quick.

WINNERS: Ray Hez & Desperado Mexicanno pin -> 3:10 mins. ¾*

Black Dragon w/ Master-cheater vs. Big Pappa – Mastermind yaks on the mike, calling for Big Pappa. Pappa is moving a bit better than two weeks ago, Mastermind shoves Dragon and frames Pappa for it. So it’s a match. Dragon wants to do sumo, but can’t push Pappa at all. Pappa points and yells Godzilla, and knocks Dragon outside. Pappa headbutts Dragon and chops him down. Pappa tries to splash Dragon in the corner, but misses, Dragon hits him in the gut, dropkick on the mat. Pappa shoulderblocks Dragon, Black Hole Slam and Mastermind hops on the apron to distract. Mastermind with the neck snap, flagpole shot to the leg, Dragon with a legsweep and gets the pin. Whatta crock. Ref is an idiot as usual.

WINNER: Black Dragon pin -> 4:30 mins. ½*

Kyle Rich vs. Chris Hazard – The fans chant choking hazard, probably cause he chokes and loses. Kyle Rich has some sort of dispute with a fan in the crowd, who apparently isn’t a Kyle Rich fan. Hazard stalls over the chants, but they finally lock up. Rich can’t knock over Hazard, hook on phonics chant, Rich says if Hazard knocks him down he’ll quit. Hazard charges and Rich sidesteps him, Rich headscissors him down, tosses Hazard, SUICIDE DIVE to the floor! He yells “wrestling…yay!” Rich crossbody from the top and gets two. Rich springboard clothesline no effect, Hazard elbows him on the mat, suplex, elbow from the second rope gets two. Hazard knee to the midsection gets two. Slugfest but Hazard rakes him, big gutbuster! Rich slips out of a slam for a rollup but Hazard hits a backbreaker, running powerslam gets two. Hazard goes up top, flying elbowdrop gets two! Should have hooked the leg there. Hazard sets up for the superplex, Rich trips him into the tree of woe and double stomps him in the chest! Rich escapes a fireman’s carry and locks in a crossface! Hazard gets the rope, then powerslams him! Hazard charges but eats an axe kick, Cory Carter runs out, Ryan Phoenix in the face but Rich slugs it out with him, Hazard grabs Rich, Ryan nails Hazard by mistake, Rich dumps Ryan out and does a double stomp on Hazard from the top and gets the pin. Hazard shoves Phoenix after the match over the botched interference. Decent match.

WINNER: Kyle Rich pin -> 11:55 mins. **½

Jester vs. Axis – Jester slams Axis and hits a legdrop for two. Jester with a full surfboard but lets it go, suplex, clothesline, backbreaker stretch gets two. Axis misses a crossboby but lands on his feet and BOOTS Jester for two. Surfboard and stomp to the mat gets two. Axis charges but gets hiptossed into the corner, side slam gets two. Sharpshooter is blocked, Axis gets caught in a full nelson but reverses it into a crossface, rollup gets two. Jester lands on his feet on a hip toss and hits a superkick for two. Unprettier is blocked, rollup Axis gets three.

WINNER: Axis pin -> 6:50 mins. **

Jester throws a fit afterward, he thinks Spencer Powers shouldn’t be in a title match, TripC comes out to answer, says something about being tired of listening to him whine and cry and says do something about it. Ryan Phoenix attacks Jester from behind drawing Spencer Powers to run him off. We go to halftime. Scooter and Devore talk about the hardcore tag match and some of the weaponry when we come back.

Prince Mustafa Ali vs. Imperio – Well I recently found out Ali was the man previously known as Alto from a post on CPW.com. Well he’s got the full Arabic outfit on now. Imperio claims to have spend some time at AAA, but of course I can’t confirm it. Camel jockey chant on Ali. Scooter isn’t on the ball ringing the bell. Ali throws Imperio, Imperio tries a springboard but slips and Ali pounds him in the corner, Imperio headscissors Ali out, dive from the top rope to the floor. Toss in, Ali uppercut, fisherman’s suplex variant and that gets the pin! It’s over?

WINNER: Prince Mustafa Alin pin -> 3:15 mins. *

Officials run over to check on Imperio who appears to have wrecked his leg. What happened? Replay doesn’t seem to show when he did the damage. Maybe on the suplex, but may also had been on the dive.

NGW Heavyweight Championship
(c)Ryan Phoenix vs. Spotlight Spencer Powers – Well I hear El Diablo Silverado’s music playing…you’re kidding me right? Nope, he doesn’t come out in a mask. Ryan has Bobby Lee say he’s the master of the counter of the ab stretch. Cute. Basic stuff to start, SSP throws him down, atomic drop and tries for the ab stretch but he flees. Chops on the floor, Ryan begs off and pokes him, clip of the leg and goes to work. Ties the leg and torques the neck but turns it loose after a Ryan…something nasty chant. Ryan with a rake, figure four! SSP gets the rope, Juvy driver gets two. Ryan with a high knee gets two. Ryan puts SSP in the tree of woe and twists the leg. Ryan drops SSP on the leg and locks in the Muta Sickle! Ryan turns it loose however, when that would usually win a match, Ryan gets a half crab instead. SSP powers out, clotheslines and suplexes Ryan, goes up, legdrop from the top! SSP charges but Robbie the ref gets in the way. SSP gets the ab stretch, Ryan taps but the ref is out, Jester runs out and superkicks SSP and Ryan gets the pin. Gee Jester has no gratitude.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Ryan Phoenix pin -> 9:20 mins. ***¼

Andy Roberts & Josh Powers w/ Cherry Malone vs. Blake Steel & Average Joe Leonard – Person who gets the pin gets a future title match. Wow, Andy changed his hair to carmel. Josh steals a straw hat, while the crowd chants she’s got herpes. Oh that’s wrong! Well they chant several different sex diseases at her. Josh starts with Blake, the crowd is all over Cherry for getting back together with Josh, no relation to Spencer. Mat wrestling to start, until Blake yanks him backward by the neck for two. Blake runs him over and tags Joe. Wheelbarrow splash gets two, and the Andy sucks chat rages. Joe with a suplex gets two. Tag Blake, suplex gets two. Tag Joe, side kick gets two. Joe pounds Josh in the corner, weakly and Josh low blows him before a powerbomb gets two. Tag Andy, chain suplexes before fishing for two. Andy with a splash in the corner, suplex gets two. Joe with a lame clothesline attempt gets him backbreakered by Andy, but misses a standing moonsault. Joe northern lights suplex gets two. Andy with a jawbreaker, tag Josh, suplex gets two. Josh with a neckbreaker, one hand cover gets two. Josh with a spinning neckbreaker variant gets two. Tag Andy, DDT gets two. Josh in, standing surfboard, clothesline, choke in the corner, leg shots get two. Joe hits a jawbreaker however and gets two. MVP chant, Joe drives a knee to the chest though it looked odd. Andy tags, Blake drops off the apron and LEAVES! Huh? Andy with the fireman’s carry into a stunner…SUPERKICK! Josh tags in, Cherry pulls Andy out and Josh gets the pin. Joe is bewildered, Andy is mad at Josh. Match looked sloppy on review.

WINNER: Andy Roberts & Josh Powers pin -> 11 mins. *½

NGW PC Championship – Man vs. Woman
(c)Morton Von Prose vs. Cherry Malone – Well it’s a surprise opponent for MVP, as Cherry comes out to challenge for the belt. Wrong music though. MVP goes out to the fans, getting a t-shirt but Josh runs out to attack him! Cherry kicks away but MVP clotheslines her and she bails. Fans yell HOOOOOO! MVP grabs the hands and slaps her on the rear. They trade armbars, Cherry with a headlock takedown, shoveoff, but she gets the flying headscissors for two. Cherry argues and MVP hits the atomic drop, flying forearm gets two. MVP with a splash in the corner, but Cherry LOW BLOWS MVP! Andy Roberts runs out and shoves Josh into the post, superkick coming but he hits Cherry, MVP ROCK BOTTOMS Andy, Cherry hits MVP with the belt and it’s a DQ.

WINNER and STILL CHAMP: Morton Von Prose DQ -> 3:40 mins. *¼

TripC comes out and chews out Cherry for squandering her title shot, so he puts her in a match against him and someone else for his triple threat title.

Hardcore Tag Match
Zero Gravity – Brett Gakiya & CJ Esparza vs. Faces of Fear – Raul Montenegro & Chris Brown – They're billing this as a tag title match, but the Faces of Fear are NOT the NGW Tag Champs! I don’t care what Bobby Lee said! They got barbed wire bats for sure! ZG has a kendo and chair. ZG dropkicks FF with springboards. Brown in, ZG knee and dropkick get one. ZG hit their moves, Sinnister throws a lid in the ring which is used on Brown. ZG beat Brown with weapons, CONCHAIRTO!!! Raul gets a ladder, but Brett dives into him! Raul is the Wile E. Coyote of NGW it seems. Brown charges CJ but runs into a chair in the corner. Oops. CJ tries to dive on Raul but its sidestepped. Brown with a high powerbomb on Brett for two. CJ gets posted, the FFs use metal, but Brett steals the barbed wire bat and nails Brown. CJ avoids being smashed against a post, Sinnister is bleeding, Brown powerslams Brett and CJ gets thrown into a post! Brown slams Brett on a chair! Brown passes Brett to Raul, and he’s thrown into a chair! They’re on the floor! Sinnister throws CJ into the bleachers! Raul argues with Bobby Lee, Brown charges but hits the bleachers! CJ gets the chair and nails the FFs! Bobby gets his lick in, CJ to the top of the bleachers and headscissors Brown on the floor! CJ charges Raul but gets tossed into the bleachers…and Brett nails Brown with a LIGHTTUBE!!! Brett gets thrown into the wall, CJ gets a tube of his own and nails Brown! Raul gets the staple gun, but Brett is kendo sticking the FFs! CJ staples a dollar to Sinnister’s head! ZG get back in the ring, trash can in, bashes Brown into it, Brown tosses CJ into the can, Brett hits a showstopper however. ZG charges, but CJ gets launched into a can, Brett chairshots Brown and nails Raul with the can, ZG with double van damninators on Raul for two! Brett lidshots the FFs, Raul gets the TACKS! Raul chops ZG in the corners, Raul tries a fireman’s carry but Brett slips out and hits a DDT into the tacks! Raul clotheslines Brett, nails CJ, Axis runs in from outta nowhere…Raul spinebusters Axis into the TACKS!!! Raul nails Axis with a chair, then nails Brown with a chair? What? ZG back in, 630 senton follows and they get the pin! Wild match.

WINNERS: Zero Gravity pin -> 16:10 mins. ***½

TripC comes out to congrat ZG with their contract extension, but thanks them for getting the belts back for Dennis Devine and Stumpy who were never beaten for the belts. Chris Brown is a mess. The mob pose for the crowd and we’re done for the night.

The Verdict: Only two matches really stood out tonight. Several of the other matches ran on the short side, half of them under the five minute mark. Was suggested that they should be pushing for high attendance at the regular “house shows” and make the cards more important.
