Fan appreciation night!

Live from the Peoria Athletic Club. Your hosts are Scooter and Doug Devore. Attendance was 45 tonight. Throughout the show there are giveaways of stuff. They go over the lineup tonight. They finally have gotten a flag for the national anthem hanging on the wall.

People's Choice Championship - Gauntlet Match
(c)Johnny Justice vs. Black Dragon - Well Justice is still wearing a mask but he's wearing that thing for looks and not to cover up anything...which probably means he's doing what Johnny B. Badd did so many years ago...save the mask to use as leverage to get a stip put on a future match cause the bad guy thinks his face is scarred from being burned. Justice has to defeat three men in a row to retain his title. Armbar Dragon, headlock Justice, short arm clothesline, side suplex. Dragon throws his knees, works the arm and turns it into a stranglehold. Justice with a snapmare, but Dragon gets the .... Dragon Sleeper! Justice with a jawbreaker, and hits the three amigos for two. Chokeslam attempt by Justice is blocked, suplex Dragon, elbow, crossarm breaker! Dragon can't get a tap so he tries a modified bow & arrow hold. Inverted atomic drop Justice, full-nelson into a camel clutch! He rolls it into a standing full-nelson, then sends Dragon to the mat face first. Dragon tries a pickup, but can't lift him, Justice with the STUNNER and the pin at the 7:00 mark.

Johnny Justice vs. Morton Von Prose - MVP with a press slam into a backbreaker, ram to the corner, slam gets two. Camel clutch MVP, then does the jumping sit on him. Justice reverses the whip and hits the splash, hits a rock bottom, and ten successive elbows for two. Von Prose fires back with kicks, and locks in the ab stretch. Justice hip tosses him off, chokehold leg sweep gets two. Second rope legdrop gets two. MVP hits an atomic drop and locks in a modified sharpshooter. Justice fights out, reverses a whip and hits the clohtesline for two. They start trading pinfalls, MVP grabs the rope, Justice kicks him, punches him down to the mat and puts him in the Boston Crab for the submission at 14:10.

Johnny Justice vs. Catalyst Cory Carter - TripC rushes in, whip charge SPLASH, Russian leg sweep gets two. Suplex TripC and drops a knee. Justice chops back, but gets clotheslined. Backbreaker stretch TripC, knee surfboard. Justice gets a leg scissors on the neck, shoulderblocks him in the corner. Justice lines him up to charge, but TripC dodges him, Justice hits the post, TripC rollup using the ropes gets the pin and the title. Justice is angry.

WINNER and NEW CHAMP: Catalyst Cory Carter pin -> 18:20 mins. **¾

9-Man Battle Royal
Okay, the brawl starts before the competitors are announced. We have Sinnister, MVP, Stumpy, Dennis Devine, Mark Whitney, Andy the Towel Boy, Kandi Deluxe, Axis, & Conner Riley. We were supposed to have ten, but I count one short. The winner gets a match with RC Stevens later. Sinnister dumps Morton Von Prose right off the bat. Stumpy electric chairs someone. Announcers say the match has not started, so MVP can go back in. Bell RINGS. Stumpy chops someone. Dennis Devine chops Stumpy. Mark Whitney dropkicks Sinnister on the back. Kandi Deluxe almost eliminated. Axis chops someone in a red shirt. Sinnister wants quiet before he delivers a chop. Conner Riley whipped to the corner, then dumped out by MVP at 1:20. Conner Riley is aka Colin McDowell in Decatur, I guess he settled on a name. Double chop by Axis, Devine chokes Kandi Deluxe. Stumpy headbutts MVP. Sinnister elbows Whitney. Devine throws Kandi Deluxe out and goes down hard at 1:55! Devine is dumped at 2 mins. Axis & Whitney get dumped by Sinnister & MVP at 2:05! Stumpy & Sinnister chop Towel Boy! MVP is in trouble, Andy tries to get away. Sinnister throws MVP out at 2:45! Stumpy gives Andy the stinkface! Sinnister gives him a stinkface! They chop him every which way, whip clothesline by Sinnister! Stumpy whip clothesline on Andy! Sheesh, what is he the whipping boy tonight? Uppercut by Sinnister, they pull his pants down, double clothesline. Poke to the eye but Sinnister clotheslines Andy down. Sandwich attempt by Stumpy & Sinnister but Andy jumps the top rope and runs outside in the fridget cold. Sinnister dumps Stumpy out and wins it.

The NGW Heavyweight Champ Chris Hazard comes out, still on the search for his stolen title belt. I'd say just get a new belt already but Hazard doesn't want to lose the deposit money he had to put up on the belt to guard against loss. Hazard says he appreciates himself and is gonna give himself something he's wanted in a long time. He wants suspended ref Josh Powers to come out and face him or else he's gonna hunt him down. Well he's forced out from the back by Pedro. Hazard tells him he heard him deny taking the belt two weeks ago, then admit to taking it. Hazard slaps him and demands he put him in a headlock. Gee Josh Powers must not had seen Andy Kaufmann vs. Jerry Lawler cause it's obvious to everyone what happens next. Hazard yells you think that hurts you think that's funny and proceeds to beat the crap outta him. LOW BLOW Hazard, airplane spin and CRASH LANDING! Hazard goes up, flying elbow off the top! Hazard says congrats you took it like a man, calls him garbage, he'll get his belt back. Sheesh this was a massacre.

Dennis Devine and Conner Riley show up...ugh. Devine says he's so smart that he has a Christmas present for Big Pappa. He wants Doug Devore as Pappa's partner. Devore says the fans didn't pay to see him wrestle, but the crowd says otherwise, so Devore agrees to wrestle.

Dennis "The Diva" Devine & Conner Riley vs. Big Pappa & Doug Devore - Conner & Pappa start. Shove Pappa, and Riley tags Dennis. Pappa shoves him down, so Devine wants Devore in. Well Doug shoves him down but Devine slaps him. Doug hits a clothesline to the gut, slam and Devine runs away. Tag Pappa, belly to belly slam gets two. Pappa chops the Diva, clothesline and Riley jumps in to nail Pappa but Pappa rams their heads together. He's no where in your league dude. Devore back in, doubleteam elbows, clothesline attempt misses, Devine CLIPS Devore. Devine & Riley take turns working the leg, until Devore pushes him off and tries to tag Pappa, but Deacon Hobbs rushes the ring to attack Big Pappa (what??) And outta nowhere Axis and Chris Hazard attacks Hobbs. What's going on here? Devore is in the tree of woe. Dennis Devine has that giant candy cane and takes one of Devore's legs out with it! Devine locks in something like a reverse figure four around the head and Devore taps! Ugh. Who the heck is aligned where exactly with Hobbs, Axis, Hazard and Pappa here?

Best of Seven Series
NGW Triple Threat Champ Brett Gikaya (2) vs. Kyle Rich (1) - Rich is drooling all over the place and has another bag. Well he's taking a long time to find someone to put it on, so Brett finally comes out to interrupt. The suggestion is made that the loser of the match should sit with the commentary team the rest of the show wearing the bag. Kyle agrees, so it's on! Brett slugs him down and Rich flees. Back in, shoulderblocks have no effect, Brett gets a knockdown and Rich flees again. Back in, Brett with a rollup gets two, does a flying head scissors but Kyle hits a twisting clothesline for two. Kyle attempts a dropkick off a whip but misses, Brett hits a running knee for two. Brett with a dropkick, goes to the top but Kyle trips him and hits an uppercut. Hard toss off the corner by Rich to the floor!! Double stomp on the floor by Rich, hangman's spinning neckbreaker to Gikaya! Yikes. And Kyle Rich is setting up some chairs! Uh oh. He sets up four of them together, goes for a piledriver but Brett backdrops him onto the commentators table! My gosh! Brett is gonna do something...dragonfly off the table to the floor! Ouch! Brett's in, the ref counts, Kyle gets back in at nine barely, Brett covers for two. Whip, armdrag, hiptoss, spinning heel kick by Gikaya for two. Kneeling surfboard is applied, turns it over for two. Kyle hits a version of a backbreaker, jumping inverted DDT for two. Kyle with a KO punch and we're at ten minutes...CHOP! Kyle stands on his head, wants him to get up, slaps a vice grip around the head. Brett esacpes and gets a backbreaker for two. Brett whip to the corner, Brett with a springboard dropkick for two. Brett knee to the head, Rich with a LOW BLOW. Rich with a superkick to the gut, axe kick...but Kyle hurts his own back in the process. Both down, ref counts...up at 8. Rich with another KO punch, Gikaya with his own KO punch. They both throw punches but hit their arms together hard, Kyle with a kick, pickup, cradle back suplex gets two. Hard chop by Kyle, whip, charges but crotches himselff! Gikaya tries for a superplex, blocked, fight on the top rope, Gikaya pulls off the dragonfly and gets the pin! Yay! Kyle's gotta wear the bag the rest of the show. We go to halftime.

WINNER: Brett Gikaya pin -> (3-1) 15:40 mins. ****

People's Choice Championship - Arm Wrestling Challenge
(c)TripC vs. Johnny Justice - Wow, this belt gets defended twice on the same show and this defense is in arm wrestling? Halftime's over and Doug Devore is limping to the table using a crutch. Kyle Rich is not happy about being out here wearing a bag. The whole New Era comes out, and TripC is complaining. Tonight is about winners, and he has the gold. He's not happy about the crap he's getting in the back about how he won it, so he's gonna put up the belt right now against Justice in arm wrestling two outta three. He says the people can't do anything for JJ and he'll beat him just like last time. I'm expecting Dragon and MVP to cheat somehow, the crowd demands those two get against the wall. TripC powers him down and wins the first round. Round two, Justice is putting in more power this time, and gets TripC's arm down to tie it up. Third round, Justice SPITS in TripC's face and wins it easily. Is that even legal? Justice taunts the New Era with a Billy Gunn like comment. Hmmm...TripC's title reign lasted less than two hours.

Kyle Rich complains about the bag interfering with the mike. Scooter complains about his alarm going off. Kyle asks why should we appreciate the fans? Devore scoffs at Kyle's turning at the fans, who had supported him for so long.

Hardcore/Submission Match
"Sinnister" Raul Montanegro vs. Russ RC Stevens - Well the first one to tap loses. Russ complains about his back problems and this may be his final NGW match. What?? Russ yells without a mike that NGW was giving the impression that he left the fed, and says the crowd aren't read fans. What the heck is THAT about? For some reason Sinnister is now billing himself under his real name, but I'll still be typing Sinnister, since he still uses it in other feds. Armbar Sinnister, takedown Russ, armwringer Sinnister, snapmare kick. Whip Sinnister, clothesline and RC is flipped over in a bad bump. Sinnister goes for weapons and finds a large candy cane, barbed wire board and chairs. Cane shots Sinnister, LIDSHOT! Toss out, Sinnister is looking for some cash...oh no, not that staple gun! RC panics and uses a crutch shot to stop him, and he staples the money on Sinnister's head! Ewwwww. My dad didn't care for that. Kyle says that's the most money Sinnister's ever had...not funny. RC ties up the legs, crutch shot Sinnister, lidshot RC. Sinnister bites him, DDT on the floor! RC sharpshooter with the crutch inserted! Crutchshot by Sinnister! They finally get back in the ring, chairs are setup, baseball slide into the chair! RC pulls Sinn back in the ring, and wipes his boot on his face! Sinnister boots a chair back in Stevens face as a counter. Sinnister boot to the head, slams RC on a chair! Whip Sinnister, clothesline missed, flying double chop by RC and he spits on the tag belt! Wind up, BELTSHOT by RC! Barbed wire board shot, RC tries for the sharpshooter, locks it in and Sinnister is out of it.

WINNER: Russ RC Stevens KO -> 11:40 mins. ***

Stumpy vs. Kandi Deluxe - There's claim of a shoulder injury by Stumpy and thus there's no match tonight, so he wants a dance off instead. Okay, Kandi does a dance number first, then Stumpy does a number and gets another fan and myself to dance with him. This ain't Dance Fever! Well Pedro the majority owner decides he wants in on the dancing. Kandi gets annoyed and clotheslines Pedro out of the ring. Pedro is angry and wants the match to happen now! Kandi stomps away, spinebuster by Stumpy gets two. They fight in the aisle, a bag of popcorn is smacked against someone! It flies all over! They get back in, choke, rope burn by Kandi. Stomping, Russian legsweep by Kandi gets two. BOOT Kandi gets two. Necksnap Kandi, rope walk chop, top rope legdrop gets two. Kandi charges, but Stumpy clotheslines him, elbow, kick, slam, back drop drop for two. Whip by Stumpy, Kandi pulls the ref in front of him and the ref is SQUISHED. Yeah I saw that coming. Kandi tries to slam Stumpy but he's too heavy, Stumpy with the "Night at the Roxberry's" and Pedro runs out to count the fall.

WINNER: Stumpy pin -> 6:20 mins. **½

Fatal Four-Way - Non-Title
Axis vs. Deacon Hobbs vs. NGW Heavyweight Champ Chris Hazard vs. Big Pappa - Everyone goes after Pappa pounding away. Pappa throws them all off. Clotheslines Hobbs and Hazard off, Axis clothesline ineffective. Hobbs and Hazard fight on the floor, Pappa slams Axis and tosses him. Pappa slams Hazard on the floor, Axis thrown into the wall. Pappa clotheslines someone, Hobbs KOs Axis. Hazard gets thrown outside, Hobbs puts him in. Hobbs does jumping jacks on the floor, Pappa goes after him, clothesline, elbow gets two. Everyone after Pappa again, Hazard and Axis pound him. Pappa is dumped out and he takes a bad bump. Axis and Hazard after Hobbs, they drop him. Too much to call here, Hazard whips Axis in the corner, flying knee by Axis, Pappa gets thrown into the wall, Axis gets two. Hobbs in, nails Axis, Hazard on the floor, Hobbs whip, telegraphs and Axis nails him. Axis clotheslines and BOOTS Hobbs out! Pappa back in, Axis pounds away, whip reverse Pappa with a black hole slam gets two. Hazard after Pappa with knees to the gut, charges...SPEARS THE REF! Oh man he didn't see him coming! Pappa works on Hazard...but Hazard with the SPEAR!!! No ref...get Pedro back out! Robbie the ref is hurt! Hobbs is pulled back in, Hazard pickup, Hobbs out, hits a move and gets the pin! Wow, didn't expect it to be over yet!

WINNER: Deacon Hobbs pin -> 7:10 mins. ***¼

The Verdict: Well it was a decent show top to bottom, so no complaints from me. Nothing to go out of your way to see in any case, except maybe Rich/Gikaya.
